Salesforce is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform that is designed to help you sell, service, analyse, and connect with your customers.
Integrating Datahash with Salesforce allows you to import leads, Audience or events data to merge your CRM data with rich behavioural data from other sources gain a more complete view of your customers. Engage your users on any channel based on their status in your sales cycle.
Prerequisites:
- A Salesforce account.
Getting Started:
- Go to https://studio.datahash.com/login∙ Enter your credentials to log in∙ Navigate to CRM category under Sources list in the left section.∙ Click on the "Salesforce" connector tile
- Click on "Sign in with Salesforce" to start the Authentication.
- In the next Screen kindly provide the necessary conditions to Datahash in order to route your data from your account to your desired marketing channels.
- These permissions are basic set of permissions which is required to be given to the platform. These permissions don’t include any data read, data modification or any other PII information permission.
- Provide access to salesforce by clicking on allow.
- Choose the data entity as Offline Events
- Select the salesforce module. Currently, we support the Leads and Opportunity module.
- Provide a name to the connection
- Once done, click on Next.
There are 5 major requirements in order to setup Offline Events are:
- Email ID column: This is the email ID generated at the source from where the lead is captured.∙ Phone Number column: Select the column where the phone number is stored.
- Last modified date column: This is the date column which gets updated every time an activity is performed on a lead for example, Lead moved from contacted stage to Interested stage. This will help us identify the leads and push them ahead.∙
- Event Time column: The time at which event has been captured.∙
- Event Name event column: The primary event is the one for which you would like to measure the conversions. For example, whenever the lead stage value changes to interested for a user, treat it as a signal for conversion. The data entry for that user would be sent to the respective destination.
Apart from the required ones, there are 2 more fields:
Product Value: If there has been a purchase event, you can send the product value mapping
Data Filters: These are which are available in case the user wants to filter out the data on some certain/specific values.
Click on “Test Connection” to proceed.
Once done, you can view the latest leads data available in your CRM as per the mapping provided above.
You can check for errors if any are shown in the table data itself.
Click Finish to complete the setup.
