How does Conversions API differ from the Meta Pixel?

The only difference between Meta Pixel and Conversions API is the method of sending data. The Pixel allows Meta to directly collect data and relies on third-party cookies to match it with Meta audiences. In contrast, the Conversions API uses encrypted first-party data sent to Meta through server-to-server integration​ to match it with Meta audiences.
