How to create a dataset in Meta Events Manager

There are different ways to create datasets in Meta Events Manager. Select your choice below and follow the instructions to create your dataset.

Option 1: Create a dataset by linking an existing mobile app ID with an existing pixel ID
  1. Have both an existing app and an existing pixel.
  2. Your existing pixel ID is now your dataset ID.
  3. Create a dataset through an existing mobile app and select the Create from a pixel ID option.
Option 2: Create a dataset by linking an existing mobile app ID with a new dataset
  1. Have an existing app but don't have an existing pixel.
  2. We'll generate a new dataset ID.
  3. Create a dataset through an existing mobile app and select the Create new option.
Option 3: Create a dataset during offline event set creation
  1. Don't currently have a mobile app and aren't ready to create one at this time.
  2. We'll generate a new dataset ID.
  3. Create a dataset during offline event set creation.
